MUM, THIS IS WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR...

Shanny released her debut album in 2022, recorded in 'Al's Audio Barn' in Edinburgh. Having worked with Alasdair Kelly on her charity single ‘Dear Eliza’, Shanny was confident that with Ally's talent and enthusiasm, he was the right person to execute her vision for the album.

Although songwriting has always been her main focus, Shanny wanted to create an album that covered many aspects, including instrumentation, genre crossovers and collaboration.

Shanny flirts with elements of various musical genres, mirroring her upbringing having been immersed in a wide variety of music from a young age.

‘I'm extremely proud of my first album, yet as I progress as an artist and settle into my style, I'm excited to start sharing the more personal side of my writing with my next releases’ - Shanny
